The Turgut vessel initially named TOHANI Cargo (1980-2009)
It was built at the Naval Shipyard Oltenita, having as beneficiary Navrom
Constanta. He remained at Navrom after 1990.
Since 1992 it has
been rented, and in 1996 it was sold and had several owners, the last being
from Turkey.
The names that this ship has had over time: TOHANI, GEMINI
II, LUCKY M, THALIA, ORHAN BEY, TURGUT USTA, TURGUT S.
On December 2009, he failed in the bay of Musura, north of
the Sulina bar, while trying to shelter from the storm. He remained there ever
since, stuck in the sand.
The ship's owner abandoned the ship there, probably spending
more on rescue or taking it to the scrap yard. The shallow water
from the area prevented the intervention of a tugboat to set it free.
Currently, as many shipwrecks Turgut is an irresistible tourist
attraction.
Vasul Turgut numit initial Cargoul TOHANI (1980-2009).
In prezent epava Turgut S este o atractie turistica irezistibila.
